Premier Football Alliance

Sportsol India, then known as Premier League India decided to disrupt the semi professional footballing ecosystem of the capital. Introducing an association in the circuit to help the existing amateur and semi pro clubs in the city to sustain and grow over years by providing revenue generating streams and annual engagement program. I was closely involved in the strategy & product development process and went on to manage all marketing, PR & media production activities for this year long initiative.

The Ask

Having already made a strong presence in the sports event management industry Sportsol India in 2019 wanted to restructure and curate their business offerings to compete with the likes of Adidas Creators Premier League. I was asked to conduct an in-depth research of the market along with my team and design a new inclusive model.

The Approach

In order to create a model that is sustainable and scalable one needs to identify and include every stakeholder that plays a part in this footballing ecosystem.  So we started at the core of it all, the players. We conducted surveys and 1 v 1 sessions with players from various profiles and background to understand their expectations from these events. Next we moved on to the amateur and semi professional clubs in the system to gain a better understanding of the pain points that club owners have in order run and grow a club at this level. And finally the fans and the sponsors who play an integral part of this ecosystem and were key to a successful event.

After 3 months of intense planning and conceptualization, we came up with PREMIER FOOTBALL ALLIANCE, a body offering a sustainable structure to safeguard the longevity of the clubs and providing organizational support for development and management.

For the first time ever, an association offering a year long event calendar in various formats across Delhi/NCR, with more than 5 lakhs worth of cash prizes and assured payouts for the clubs. Offering the highest quality of service standard, from 5 HD camera angles for each game to individual man of the man trophies. This was something never experienced before in the entire circuit.

The event went on to attract great attention from everyone alike. We managed to host the longest, largest and the most entertaining footballing event of all time. The success of the event can be seen in the fact that we roped in the highest number of clubs to ever play in the same event and the huge pool of our esteemed sponsors.
